Workshops
The Health Promotion Department offers a wide array of interactive trainings on topics ranging from sleep hygiene and sexual health, to sexual violence prevention and stress management available to the 精选麻豆二区 community upon request.
Please review the workshop options from the following list and then submit a request. You provide the space and any necessary tech (a way to show a PowerPoint presentation), and we will provide all other materials. Please note the requestor (e.g., RA, professor or student leader) must be in attendance during the presentation.

Well-Being Workshop Options
Bystander Intervention- Sexual Violence Prevention
See something, say something. But What should you say? How can you step in if 测辞耻鈥檙别 not sure what to do? In this training you will learn skills and strategies to intervene in situations that could escalate to sexual violence. Through real-life examples, 飞别鈥檒濒 discuss common barriers to intervention and how to safely and creatively help a friend or stranger. Usually facilitated by our Peer Educators.
Red Flags, Green Flags- Relationships
All relationships have conflict, but can you spot the red flags of an unhealthy relationship? This workshop teaches you how to identify healthy and unhealthy aspects of a relationship, how to work through conflict, and how to improve your communication skills to have better relationships all around. Usually facilitated by our Peer Educators.
The Sweeter Side of Safer Sex- Sexual Health
This workshop provides a broad overview of information meant to help someone make informed choices about their sexuality. Topics covered include the importance of consent and communication, STI transmission prevent as well as testing and treatment options, pregnancy prevention and general health center service information. Safer sex supplies are also made available. Usually facilitated by our Peer Educators.
Wellbeing-101- General Well-being
What does well-being mean to you? Investing in a healthier lifestyle has a slew of benefits such as a boost in mood and energy, improved academic performance, and increased confidence. Through this workshop, you will explore different dimensions of well-being. You will learn practical and easy ways to invest in yourself and your health. Usually facilitated by Health Promotion Staff.
Stress Less - General Well-being
Do you get overwhelmed or stressed our? Not sure what you can do to relax or calm down? Stress can have numerous impacts on the mind and body. Through this workshop you will learn more about what stress is, how it impacts the body, and ways to manage stress with practical tips and techniques. You will walk away with basic strategies that you can use immediately and resources on and off campus that you can take advantage of. Usually facilitated by Health Promotion Staff.
Nutrition 101- General Well-being
Are you interested in learning more about nutrition and ways to enhance your eating patterns? Through this workshop you will learn the basics of nutrition and healthy eating. We will cover macronutrients, micronutrients, how to read a food label, healthy meal and snack ideas and tips for getting started. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of your personal eating habits and strategies for making healthier food choices. Usually facilitated by Health Promotion Staff.
Sleep from Aa to Zzz- General Well-being
Want to up your sleep game? Inadequate sleep can negatively impact your academic performance, relationships and overall well-being. Through this workshop, you will learn how to create a more sleep-friendly environment, make the most of naptime, and wake up feeling more rested. Usually facilitated by Health Promotion Staff.
