Non-degree enrollment is for students who do not intend to earn a degree from Towson University (¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø) and instead wish to take a small number of courses for personal, professional, or academic reasons.

Non-degree students must identify their intended ¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø course(s) as part of the application process. Non-¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø students may search for classes in the course catalog. Please ensure you are selecting the correct intended start-term as you view intended course availability.
There are only select student types are permitted to apply as a non-degree candidate. To be considered for admission as a non-degree student, you must meet one of the following criteria:

College graduates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution. Students must submit either:
Note: Non-degree applicants who earned their degree from ¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø do not need to submit official transcripts. 
Visiting students are currently enrolled at another college or university and seek to take ¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø courses to transfer credits back to their home institution Students must submit:

Students of any academic background who must be at least 60 years old by the first day of their intended term or semester. Applicants must submit:
Note: Retired Maryland residents aged 60 or older who are not working full time may qualify for the Golden I.D. Tuition Waiver Program, which allows discounted, space-available enrollment in most courses up to specified unit limits. Students must be admitted as a non-degree student to be eligible and complete additional steps.
Current high school juniors and seniors who wish to take ¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø courses for college credit should apply through our dual enrollment program. Students must submit:

Note: Home-schooled students must send the most recent curriculum evaluation from their supervising organization.  
Special permission from ¾«Ñ¡Âé¶¹¶þÇø is required to take upper-level (300-level or higher) courses. Permission is not guaranteed, and will be reviewed upon completion of the dual enrollment non-degree application.
Students must complete a non-degree application, provide the required materials listed above, and submit a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Continuous enrollment is available for non-degree applicants who are college graduates or age 60+. Dual enrollment and visiting students must reapply for each term. For additional information on the registration policies, please visit the .
